This is not the first collaboration between the most sporty electric car brand of the Renault group and Lapierre. The French brand has celebrated its 70th anniversary with what is its most practical model to date, an Alpine A390 that has surprised with its elegant and sporty design, and a range of versions with up to three electric motors and more than 400 HP of power.

A grand tribute in its four-wheeled range, but it has also extended to the enticing catalog of two-wheeled proposals with a new collaboration with the French specialists at Lapierre. Two bikes, one road and one mountain electric, called Xelius DRS SE and Overvolt GLP S, both painted in the mercury silver of the unprecedented electric crossover.

Alpine is also a Premium in the two-wheeled sector

Sportiness is a common denominator of both proposals, although the Xelius DRS SE has been designed to offer high performance thanks to the structure of its carbon fiber frame that provides the user with great responsiveness on the toughest climbs. This features a propulsion system with a wireless electronic 12-speed transmission, titanium cranks and a power meter that constantly monitors them.

The finishing touch of this high-performance road bike is the aerodynamically optimized carbon rims, mounted on tires that also spin on ceramic bearings. It is not cheap, as it costs 11,000 euros.

On the other hand, you have the Alpine Overvolt GLP SE and, like the previous one, it is also inspired by competitive motorsport, although with specifications unique to e-MTB. The frame is also made of carbon but, unlike the previous one, it achieves its strength with 650 layers of the lightweight material all in one direction.

Additionally, the battery is located outside the frame and above the air-cooled Bosch electric motor to concentrate the weight in one area, it also features a digital display on the top tube, carbon rims, ceramic bearings, Mulet wheels, and a four-piston brake system. This one is not cheap either, even more expensive than the previous one, with a price that rises to 12,000 euros.
