This new Convoy C.01 was presented at the most international bicycle fair in the world, Eurobike, and was created by the British startup Micro Mobility Labs, founded by John O’Toole and Josh Richards.
One of the great advantages of the Convoy C.01, in addition to its cargo space, is that it is easily detachable. Therefore, your bike can be mechanical or electric whenever you want and without having to perform cumbersome disassemblies or wheel changes, as happens with other solutions. In fact, it is enough to attach or detach it to the rear axle without the need for tools.
Speed, autonomy, and possibilities
Regarding its technical specifications, the Convoy C.01 offers a maximum autonomy of 30 kilometers of electric assistance, and its 250 W nominal power motor allows it to reach the maximum speed allowed by law in the European Union, 25 km/h.
It also incorporates a power-assisted steering system that guarantees automatic alignment with the rear wheel, as well as making turns without additional effort. Additionally, it has vertical movement freedom, adapting to the irregularities of the terrain without sacrificing comfort or the dynamics of the bike.
Safety is also not forgotten, thanks to the presence of an integrated rear light, while the pedal assistance mode is configured through the mobile app associated with the Convoy C.01.
The final touch is its ability to convert into a hand shopping cart when we detach it from the bike, and it has a digital anti-theft system that acts on the trailer's wheels.
And what is the price of this practical device? Well, less than one might expect: 2200 euros. The manufacturer requests a deposit of 100 euros for the reservation and plans to start its commercialization with an initial batch of 500 units.
